This vintage collectible pewter decorative plate was made by Franklin Mint, a popular maker of collectibles then and still.
This plate is part of the American Country Life collection and it is called "Summer Evening," which was the name of the original painting by Currier and Ivs in 1857.
It features a man and woman strolling in front of their prosperous farm house and land surrounded by trees and two children playing in the grass. Children often played outside for fresh air and exercise, which also was often their main form of entertainment. It was also a tradition to take a family evening walk.
Plate also features a nail hole on back side for hanging on the wall.
