Product Description

1979 NORMAN ROCKWELL’S “THE LOVERS” FIGURINE-A DAVE GROSSMAN DESIGN

  • Lucky for us and the buyer the original stickers for Saturday Evening Post authorization sticker and Dave Grossman (Japan) can still be found on the bottom of this piece in pristine condition.
  • It is also labeled with Norman Rockwell’s name on the front of the piece, along with lots of other important information on the bottom of the piece which includes NR-207 (the 207 cover of the Saturday Evening Post), August 30,1924 (the date I believe this was pictured in the SEP), and ©1979 SEP.   This particular piece is part of a collection of the Norman Rockwell Saturday Evening Post covers he did.
  • The porcelain figurine, “The Lovers,” very appropriately for that day shows a young couple sitting on a bench while the boy serenades her  probably with a love song on his accordion.
  • He’s wearing a dapper black suit with his hair neatly parted right down the center and she looks adorable in her blue and white frock with her bonnet.
  • The measurements are 2.5" wide x 3.25" tall x 1.5" deep.
