This book, published in 2012, is a compilation of recipes in the form of a cookbook by The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary of Birmingham, Alabama. Among the Cookbook Committee who helped put this book together was Ardith McMicken, June Pryor, Janine Goode, Aletha Watley, Nancy Warden, Rita Wood, and Kathy Parker.
The creation of this book is in celebration of 50 years of the SA women’s auxiliary in Birmingham, Alabama.
The pages of this book are in a small white padded 3-ring binder. Among the contents of this cookbook is a collection of favorite recipes by members of the Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary of Birmingham, Alabama.
Also included in this book is a list of past organization presidents (since 1962), the history behind the salvation red kettle, and helpful hints at the beginning of each section. There is also an index and a table of contents to make browsing easier.
There is a special heavy duty plastic page holder which also helps to hold the cookbook upright and open to allow both hands free for cooking!
There are 228 pages with room for more to be added. There are tabs included to divide the sections that are labeled and laminated. There are special pages at the end of the book with other cooking/baking information.
